So about a month ago I decided that it was time for another reset. I made it to Lich and did just about all the cool stuff I wanted to do. I had an army of 45 wights and one will-o-wisp, I tanked a lightspeaker's judgemaster army a time or two. It was good fun, except that I found myself very much so stuck in the stronghold, not able to move due to the massive wall of pets I was supporting. That is not how this character is used to living. Then I started thinking back, just after my last update here, we (the RRF and the Nexus as well) lost a friend of mine that I met here in the Nexus, Wolfoid in the RRF. (Here are some of his other wonderful characters: Rexx, a turtle, Baator, Bonchi, Ira) Wolfoid joined the RRF very shortly after I came back to the game. We had very similar builds, both going for Wolf Revenant. Anyways, he was my friend and I miss him very much, he would be so proud of what the RRF is today. I decided that I needed to bring plscks back to his roots, go Wolf Rev, and in loving memory of Wolfoid, not be anything but a Wolf Rev ever again. So in honor of of where I came from and in memory of my Wolf Revenant brother in arms or teeth or something, I am once again a Wolf Revenant! At this time, I am level 22, progressing slowly but surely! A little while back I even lead a group of 20 or so people on a hunt for the Great Wyrm, we trounced it really good, since then we have hosted one additional hunt. The RRF is a wonderful faction now and it certainly wouldn't be with the help of my very early on supporters, Wolfoid and a clown, thank you both, we miss you Wolfoid my friend.

Anyways, the RRF has been in a little bit of a lull with the recent Wyrm hunts, but I think it is about time that we start raiding once again! I'll make some more updates once I progress more and get cooler, deadlier skills.

Latest revision as of 21:13, 7 September 2019

As it stands, plscks is my namesake for everything interwebs related. plscks is historically an RRFer, and proud of it. Started in UD a few years back, and moved over to NW during the last year or so. my NW experience was almost immediately stalled out due to RL stuff and a massive confusion about the mechanics of the game. I left plscks on idle for a long while after his creation and only started back up for the last 5 or 6 months of NW with the sole aim of becoming a Wolf Rev. Anyways, he was a glorious HtH Wolf Rev, though I only got to have fun as a Wolf Rev for the last few weeks of the game, I did get to grind through the wonderful T2 times with kicks and healing.

The Story So Far

Here is my story so far in the BobWar..... I made it through T1 by healing factionmates, and smoking cigarettes to provide some healing XP for them also. When I was not smoking and healing, I was searching for smokes. This is evident through this thread where early on I made it to the top alcohol drunk list, this is mostly due to the fact that alcohol is way easier to find in an Airport than packs of smokes are..... Anyways, at some point in grinding through T2, I decided that I didn't just want to stay inside of the SH and grind healing on my factionmates, so I got out of the SH. I spent a long while staying mostly feral, hunting my prey, and getting whooped up. After this long while of hunting, I eventually made it to -50 MO and felt that this was no good for a supposed Neutral. So, I headed back to our SH, only to find that it was not there. After a day or so of hiding there (I figured we must have just been raided and cleared recently) I was notified that the SH would be moving due to some greifing-like behavior coming from OP:OP. So Eventually I made it to our new SH in Gehenna, a good long ways from OP:OP. Since the move, I have spent most of my zero AP time in the SH. The fact that many of us are healers came in handy with having a SH in Gehenna. So since the move, I have been going out looking for materials for our alchemists and crafters, and then healing the others.

On a more build related note, I think plscks has been the only character that I had no idea where I was headed with. This is mostly on account of the fact that I really wanted my Wolf Rev back, but there was no Wolf form for Revs. So, up until now I have been saving CPs/using them on skills that I have never played with before, all the while hoping for the best. Though as of a day or so ago, Bob has implemented the Shadow of the Wolf skill, and I finally have some end for these means.

So long story short, I now have a more definitive direction for plscks, and am at lvl 19, on the verge of hitting my much loved T3 Wolf Rev, this is my story as of this point.....

AWAKE AGAIN! AFTER 8 YEARS!

Skills So Far

Breath 1

 • First Aid - I started with this skill because at first glance (my experience before the "Wipe") showed me that when everyone is low level, healing is definitely a viable choice for XP.
 • Surgery - I opted for this skill because I feel that spending the 5ap per heal is more than worth the ap expenditure of searching for FAKs.
 • Hand-to-Hand Combat - I figured I'd need some combat skills to even out the good MO that comes from healing, and what better than a skilltree that (in NW) helped the Wolf Rev's bite.
 • Martial Arts - Better killing power.
 • Advanced Martial Arts - More better killing powers!
 • Sense Magic - Why not, BobWar is still in beta on the first breathe.
 • Psychometry - Again, may as well right?
 • Boxing - Even more better killing powers!
 • Meditation - Because Enhanced Senses sounded sexy.
 • Enhanced Senses - It is sexy, I love it.
 • Strong Attack - Killing powers anyone? Yes please.
 • Super Reflexes - What the heck, you gotta love dodging!
 • Sense Morality - Every good Neutral should be able to tell right off the bat what the MO of his foe is.
 • Shadow of the Wolf - What is sexier than a Wolf Rev? Not much I figure.
 • Elite Attack - may as well go for the damage increase.
 • Feeding Fangs - Good stuff right here, these little fellas have saved my ass against pets on more than one occasion.
 • Natural Predator - New skill just opened up, it is rocking great!

Breath 4

 • Hand-to-Hand Combat - Oh baby, we're on our way!
 • First Aid - To better see the state of health of my factionmates.
 • Martial Arts - To better punch our enemies wards!
 • Advanced Martial Arts - YAY! Accuracy!
 • Surgery - So much more XP per AP it seems.
 • Engineering - To help build forts in the RRF SH.
 • Structural Engineering - To better build forts in the RRF SH.
 • Dodge - Harder to hit = lives longer.
 • Evasion - Even better!
 • Planar Protection - Have to have, self explanatory.
 • Strength - Again, to better build forts!
 • Combat Mastery - To more reliably hit stuff.
 • Critical Hit - Free skill

 • Shadow of the Wolf - Wolf Rev!!! Yes!
 • Day Walker - Gotta not care what time of day it is. Must have.
 • Feeding Fangs - Working towards arcane damage for wards, did not realize that it no longer has synergy with Wolf's bite attack, boo.
 • Mantle of Vrykokalas - Arcane damage for wards!
 • Natural Predator - More murder is better!
 • Shadow of the Dust - Hunted status effect for my killers and innate armor, excellent.
 • Eye of Death - Very nice skill for hunting
 • Elite Attack - More damage!
 • Animus of the Wolf - More damage and lots of other bonuses too.
 • Lockpicking - Grinding?

Current Activities

06/03/2010

Today we were raided by OP:OP, again..... Anyways, I respawned kind of close to their SH and immediately went there and whopped on the ward, before running like hell, and hiding in the forest. Unfortunately for me, there was another Myrm also hiding there. He also has ES, so, I guess we will just have to see what happens....

06/04/2010

Yep, dead. Oh well, time for a new body! Had some brief words with the Metric System before heading in the direction of home. Made it there with only a couple APs to spare.

06/05/2010

Healed some factionmates and then took a leisurely stroll through Gehenna.

06/06/2010

Got locked in a small closet, freed myself, finally healed James for once, received a pristine Leather Cuirass, and then looked at the local scenery for a while.

06/07/2010

Did a little healing, awaiting the move back home. Getting very close to T3 now. Better start thinking of what skills to purchase first. I'm thinking definitely Shadow of the Wolf, and then it's a toss up between Elite Attack and Feeding Fangs.

06/08/2010

Made the journey back to the homeland. Found James and Deli. Will wait for some more APs and then will patrol the local area looking for people to punch some XP out of. Woke up later to find that James had been slicing himself up again, healed him. 28xp from Rev now.

06/09/2010

Just woke up to find James' body lying at my feet and his killer standing in front of me. Beat the tar out of the guy until I hit level 20 and became a Revenant. Bought Shadow of the Wolf and Elite Attack, transformed into Wolf form and mauled the killer to death with my new found wolf teeth, giving a victory howl afterwards. Does this make me the games second Wolf Rev? Yes I figure, Second or third. I WIN! After running into Jester I also discovered quickly that I can talk and emote in wolf form, but can't drink port, and I take no damage for being outside durring day on the prime plane (Wolf for or not). Better consult the bug board..... As it turns out, I won't take damage in the light until I buy Strength of Darkness, hmm, sexy!

06/10/2010

Turned into a large wolf and took a long stroll around the prime plane. I'm loving the distance I can cover now. Later I went over toward the OP:OP SH, and found one of their faction leaders standing outside a nearby hospital. I tore him to shreds with my teeth. I also woofed at him. I think there was an arf as well. Then I went back to the SH and tried to steal a femur from James that I could bury in the yard.

06/13/2010

I decided to go out and prowl around tonite. I didn't, instead I tried to eat OP:OP's ward, I think I might have eaten several hundred points of it. It was hmm, nummy?

06/14/2010

Went over and ate some of OP:OP's ward again, then healed James for 30xp. I really wonder what would happen if I broke through OP:OP's ward on accident?!? OH GOD! That woud be odd.

06/15/2010

Took a prowl around the homeland. Found a good MO mortal and ate it.

06/16/2010

Went out hunting again, ate a T2. Oh and I love having a 63% chance to hit, 12 damage, innate bite attack.

06/18/2010

Hunted the greater area of South Quarter today, found nothing and returned home. Perhaps tomorrow I will hit up the IRCs and hope for a raid of some knd.

06/19/2010

Hunted the neighborhood today, found an evil mortal. Failed to land a single bite 8 times in a row before getting in 3 successful bites killing him. Screw you RNG 3/11 is not 63 percent chance to hit.

06/20/2010

Found a couple of T2s to eat today, chose one for lunch, and took a few bites of the second before leaving for home.

06/21/2010

Woke up dead due to a raid by Funky Town. Made it back to the SH in time to kill the last member of Funky Town left in there. Of coarse I bit Zenneth a few times before I killed the guy, but I still got the job done.

06/26/2010

After days of only being able to hunt mortals for no more than 13xp per kill, I finally found me a T2 to eat. Though in these several days, we were raided at least once, and thanks to my wolf form, I was able to make it back to the SH after being killed. Good old wolf form, I love it. :D .....If only I had a cool notification to everyone else in the area that I was in fact transforming into or out of wolf form, like those damned Bat Revs have.....

06/29/2010

Ran around the neighborhood chewing on people.

06/30/2010

Took a prowl around the neighborhood and found no one to eat. Went back to the SH, to regain energy. Later I will prowl around Gehenna for some positive MO.

07/01/2010

Took a stroll to the Ziggurat, burned the crap out of myself, killed someone, and now I wait for death.

07/04/2010

Yay! I hit Level 21 yesterday, I bought Feeding Fangs! They have already proved quite useful!

07/13/2010

Been hunting the neighborhood lately, should hit level 22 in a few days. I hit level 22 defending the RRF against an OP:OP raid. I killed two, was killed by a late comer, then respawned, damaged him, and was killed by him again. Oh well, at least I tried to protect the SH. I will save the CP for now, I have a total of 40 and I'm not sure what to get.

07/28/2010

Been prowling the neighborhood lately, Though last week I made it for a raid. Of coarse, the raid was a big fail, because there was an invisible VW in the SH that we couldn't get at. Still fun though.

09/08/2010

Today I hit level 23 so I bought the new skill Natural Predator, Now I have a killer 14dmg at 73% chance to hit bite attack! Hell yes!

09/20/2010

So, I have spent the last week or so hunting Elysium. I've been staying alive thanks to Meditation and Feeding Fangs. But today I accidentally teleported to the Zig. As a result my Zig alt didn't go to the Zig an managed to make it to the point in the build where the Zig is no longer necessary. That means that I can now start hitting the Zig up and biting the crap out of folks there! Yay!

10/05/2010

After spending a few weeks in the Ziggurat I am at Level 27, almost to level 28 and have 160 CP to spare. I have no idea what I will spend all 260 I will have banked at level 30 on..... I have one build that is possible, but I'm not sure if I like it very much. Oh well, onwards to level 30 I go!

08/19/2018

REBIRTH!

Life!
Cursed, cursed, life!
Where has my undeath gone!
I think I'm yet again a mortal.....

At least I still hold my status in my faction, the Ridleybank Resistance Front. So, born anew in this strange world, the first thing I did was wander around to get the lay of the land, it is much different than I recall it being. I found nearly all of the badges on the prime plane, then I located my Stronghold. Luckily there was a nice guy hoovering on top of it, one of his pets tried to kill me, so I jumped straight into the SH. A factionmate healed me up, and after no time at all, The Deadly Sins broke the ward down and violently killed us all! I was yelled at to death by Clíodhna - Queen of the Banshees. As for my next move, I am unsure which knowledge to obtain next in my quest for my previous state of undeath, but before I figure that out, I've got to get back to the SH, or what's left of it.

08/20/2018

Woke up, went to search for some FAKs, found some. The SH was rebuilt thankfully, so now I can stop hiding in the corner behind the piles of Ghouls, they kind of smell to my oh so mortal nose. I went to the library to find myself some good literature, but some demon busted in and murdered me with his claws! That monster, one day perhaps, I will rip him to shreds with my teeth while in wolf form..... Ah back home for some light reading.

08/24/2018

It's been a rough few days, I spent lots of time reading and healing my factionmates. Yesterday we were raided by The Golden Bold, they insulted our small zombie horde and then slaughtered us all. I emerged back on Laurentia I immediately ran to The Golden Bold's Stronghold and started punching their ward. I eventually grew tired and passed out in the street having done no substantial damage to their ward. Later, the elusive Higgs boson came out of the SH, gave me 2 pairs of overalls and 2 pairs of scrub pants, then murdered me. When I finally respawned and made it back to the place where our SH was, there was an Infernal Behemoth BarronTrump just chilling in there with a little mortal by the name of The Central Scrutinizer. I tried to hide but The Central Scrutinizer found me and told me that he was there to die, but oddly enough the IB was only killing my factionamtes as we came back to our home, and not him. Anyways, the IB murdered me. Ugh, time to head back home yet again.

08/28/2018

Have been spending my time reading and healing the liches after they use Sorcerer's Might to create an undead army. I decided that I knew how to perform surgery, because searching for FAKs is time consuming and boring. I "tested" my "skills" on the crazy undead rock star Dr. Teeth, he didn't live through the surgery, but technically he's undead anyways? Success? Sure?!

10/11/2018

Insanity has happened, lots of complete insanity. I have organized t least 3 raidsat this point, and have been promoted to Lieutenant in the RRF due to my efforts. Please keep in mind that I use the work 'raid' extremely loosely. It's only been myself and my team (we have no leader, we are all equal thirds), a Clown, bad ass Conduit chonter and a great character. Wolfoid, a rad new Wolf Rev such as myself. On that note, check it! I just made it to T3 I am a Wolf Rev! Finally, again! Happened this morning actually! Anyways, on to the raids. Our first raid was against The Radiant Order, we raided them while Wolfoid and I were T2 and a Clown was a pretty new T3, we made it through the ward and killed two of their Wizards, but then we were stopped in our tracks by the leader Seraph, a tree octopus, but then to our surprise, A Little Baby Dragon broke in to the TRO SH mid raid, roared and self destructed, injuring only a Clown. My comrades retreated and I was stuck in the enemy SH APed out, until a Wizard came back and murdered me. The second raid was planned, but hours before, we got obliterated by the feral AK group and thus it was canceled. Then the other day, we set up to raid TRO once again, this time with one of our faction leaders, a tough Eternal Soldier, needless to say, he did not show, so on we went. While we were busting the ward in The Central Scrutinizer, a local well known and loved death farmer became active and tagged along to see how it panned out. Well, it didn't TRO had gained 2 more T3 members and now had a ward strength of 1000. We made it in, slaughtered the first Wizard and started on the Seraph, we made sure to have potions this time to combat the clockwork cloud, we successfully murdered him as well! But that left the new Advocate with 15% melee dodge and the second wizard. We APed out and camped at the TRO SH over night. We were slaughtered by the Advocate. It was another successful fail raid! And that brings us to now, and this morning I finally made it to T3 Wolf Rev status! Awesome!

Yesterday two things happened. First our friend The Central Scrutinizer, a local death farmer, joined the RRF! Awesome! A new member, but more so, a new member who happens to have already been on a raid with us! Then the other thing is that we raided HEART of OAK. Wolfoid had plans come up last minute so it was just going to be a Clown and I, but then the Scrutinizer decided to tag along as well! He now has combat skills with a bow so he hit really good on the ward with his T3 bonus! Once inside there was a T3 wizard Charlton Heston and a level 14 mortal Karate Elvis. I worked down Charlton to low hp and let the level 4 Scrutinizer finish him off. Then we worked over Elvis a bit, but the Scrutinizer didn’t have the ammo to finish him off. As we were trying to decide who should kill Elvis, our usually silent factionmate mpatk the sorcerer showed up and corrosive glances Elvis to death! After that I was able to grab their faction standard for a successful raid! It was awesome! It’s great that every raid we have we get raid bombed by someone, and lucky for us this time it was our own factionmate. The Scrutinizer didn’t have the AP to get home, so he fast traveled with his mortal skill of death and respawn. All in all, a great time! We didn’t failraid! Yay!

It's been a long five or six months! Since last time I have become a leader in the RRF, we have gone from a mid sized faction to the highest ranked faction in the listing. We have 28 fairly active members and a petwall that is regularly 80+ pets small! There was a Nexmus Event which the unaligned won! Then shortly after that the outer planes shattered and reformed into tunnel connected districts. Then after not much more time there was a large update to the game which many many many positive changes, including adding a faction upgrade to unaligned factions that allows faction members to not be effected by glyphs of other faction members. Shortly after this on 03/28/2019 I decided in an unprecedented move, to reset my Revenant! I am rebuilding this character as a light on the pets Lich with magic and the Hand of the Necromancer skill! It should be fun! As of this writing, I am level 15, thank you RRF for all the Sorcerers Might and healing experience!!
