So! Where on earth do we start? Shall we take the nexus wiki as our beginning blocks?--Karloth vois 18:05, 3 January 2010 (UTC)

  • Good question. One thing I feel we should do is get a map made and put it in here, also start listing what items are found in what buildings and what those items do...of course, since I'm lazy, I probably won't do any of that. --Jenx 18:07, 3 January 2010 (UTC)
File uploads are disabled, making things like that harder.--Adward 18:21, 3 January 2010 (UTC)
Mapping out the Skills would also probably be fairly useful, particularly if we begin with the Starting Skills available. I'm making a map on an external site, so I can link to that until we can make a better one here. --Karloth vois 18:58, 3 January 2010 (UTC)
The main impediment to making a good wiki is that right now we're not exactly sure what skills do. If someone can get me that raw data I can turn it into a wiki, but I don't have that info. Maybe I'll ask bob for it... MacDre 22:08, 3 January 2010 (UTC)
I reckon it'll be interesting to manually discover it :D --Karloth vois 22:29, 3 January 2010 (UTC)
You are right, it will be fun to build from the ground up! MacDre 04:59, 4 January 2010 (UTC)

To-Do List

Initially made from the discussion above. Feel free to add to it as you see fit! --Karloth vois 19:24, 3 January 2010 (UTC)

  • Templates - We need a basic template for each of the skills/ locations/ weapons and items pages.
    • Template:ZSkillBox by Liche is for all the skills.
    • Template:HideText is copied from wikipedia for a non-spoilery way of listing found locations etc. (Better solutions do exist, but I can't get them to work)
    • Now we just need to fill all the information
  • Skills - Skritz added pages for most of the starting/ many of the mortal skills, but they still need more info.
  • Locations - We need most of the basic pages!
  • Weapons - lots needed. If you've found a weapon, put the info down! Think we say we have them all. some details still missing.
  • Items - most needed, plus uses.
  • Classes - Only a basic page currently there. Also, we need info on all of the classes!
    • All classes up, but need more descriptive elements on the pages.
  • Special:WantedPages - Any red links.
    • Mainly items and tiles now
  • Category:Placeholder - any pages in this category are basic efforts in need of updating.

Front Page Style

I've copied the style from the Nexus wiki; four columns of (hopefully) useful links. I've put that under the current introduction; is it any good? --Karloth vois 21:54, 4 January 2010 (UTC)

  • Fairly good, and simple. Might need work later. Added the missing planes to locations. Anything else missing?--Pharo212 23:58, 11 April 2010 (UTC)
Added the GUWAST link. Though it's not done yet, it already provides a decent enough summary of items and armors. -Ongewitter- 12:47, 5 March 2011 (UTC)
Added a bit of styling to the front page, to make it stand out from the other pages. The blurb describing the game could do with a bit of rewriting. Logan Runs ☵Talk☷ 06:53, 16 May 2011 (UTC)

Tek, I don't understand the rationale behind re-adding the link to the Ask a Dev thread. It just links to a few formsprings, and formspring stopped existing in Spring of 2013 - the links are all dead. (Similarly, I don't think we need the Changelog linked in both the leftmost and rightmost columns in addition to the description text, but I'm hesitant to change the landing page when stuff like this is being reverted).--Merlin the Tuna (talk) 04:09, 4 August 2015 (UTC)

Crafting Page

I've put in the crafting recipes for smithing and gunsmithing. Need someone with bow smithing to finish it off (assuming it's altered from NW, and someone with good wikifu to make it pretty. Sihoiba 16:30, 18 January 2010 (UTC)

Aspects Page

There's now a page for Aspects. I've gone through and tried to put the ones I've encountered so far in. Anyone who sees one not currently on the page, feel free to toss it in. Also, anyone wanting to clean up the layout is welcome to it. Jazelock 13:29, 16 May 2010 (UTC)

Every skill should have a Skillbox now, giving an overview of the skill at a glance. There are some formatting issues in a few edge cases, but it is accomplished!

To add a skillbox to a new skill, copy and paste

skill_name=Name of the Skill

{{ZDamageChart|Damage Style (Area, Melee, Ranged, Hand-to-Hand, Aura)|Damage Type|Max Damage per Target|Max Damage Total|Notes}}
{{ZaoeDamageChart|AoE name|Firing Cost (specify AP,MP,etc)|Damage Type|To-Hit %|Per-Target damage|Total damage|Notes}}

Delete the lines that don't apply, like Armor, AoE, and fill in the bits that are. Logan Runs 12:02, 6 August 2010 (UTC)
