I'm not strong on wikis so not up to it but I'd like to point out that whilst the crafting AP cost is the same for weapons, the XP gain seems to be different I got 16 for a destroyed carving knife but a sabre just made

- You call upon your crafting skills to shape the raw materials into a(n) Saber. After much toil, you meet with success! You gain 22 experience points. You spent 10 Action Points creating this item! (2010-02-11 13:03:31).

So the final table will need redesigning FWIW Average Cutlass is 40AP 58XP (with Smithing only so far)

10AP 22XP for crafting destroyed sabre, cutlass, sword and firemans jacket.

40AP 52XP for average carving knife

40AP 58XP for average cutlass, sabre

40AP 68XP for average chainmail shirt

The chainmail broke my run of similar XP which seems to follow the theory I though that the more materials you need for the item the more XP you get.

After the recent patch (which theoretically fixed the ap cost bug): Short bow, average: 43ap. Strange. I'll run more experiments. Update: Short bow, worn: 33ap. --Seth 13:04, 5 June 2010 (UTC)

hmm I just did a short bow pristine 43 ap/78 xp.

I have been working on destroyed items most I have

12ap/16xp Carving knife, leather jacket, leather curaiss

15ap/22xp Cutlass, sabre, sword, tarnished sword

20ap/32xp LBA

25ap/42xp MEA

I think we will need to sequence a couple of items from destroyed to pristine

Yeah, I'll try to map the same things to see what changes.

Knife, worn - 22ap 28xp Knife, good - 32ap, 64xp Short bow, good - 33ap, 66xp Btw, the previous bow crafts were with basic (20cp) bowyer, not with master. --- unsigned comment

I have knife destroyed 12/16 broken 22/28 worn 32/43 pristine 42/76 (ap/xp)

I did an average and pristine short bow both taking 43ap with 54xp for average and 78 pristine

ok this sure is screwed up.. its base+10 per level up to average, then good is 10 less than average and pristine the same as average!

This cannot be right so there is no point continue to investigate... my crafter is going in a long term coma for now.

Apparently, the formula still works, but items have some basic AP cost attached to them, so I'm going to go figure those out so that we might have a decent crafting page. Also templates, go crazy Logan. -Ongewitter- 18:07, 9 June 2011 (UTC)
