All Ranged Weapons require ammunition. Bows must be "loaded" with a full Quiver of Arrows. Firearms are a varied group. Pump Action Shotguns must be loaded with a single shot at a time whereas other firearms accept only full containers of ammunition. Throwing Weapons are themselves their ammunition (with the exception of Slings, which load other throwing weapons). There are even two oddball Melee Weapons requiring ammunition: the Torch and the Chainsaw.

Loading a weapon takes one AP. Preparation times for Shotguns are therefore quite disadvantageous. Unloading all the ammunition from a weapon takes one AP and gives you individual pieces of ammunition. Weapons loaded with Fuel Cans cannot be unloaded.

Once a requisite number of individual pieces of ammunition (Arrows, Pistol/Rifle/SMG rounds) has been obtained, they will automatically form a single combined, usable form of ammo (Quiver, Pistol Clip, Rifle/SMG Magazine).

Arrow

This is a wooden or carbon graphite arrow with fletching for aerodynamic stabilization.

Crafted: Created upon unloading of a partially loaded Bow or Crossbow.

Battery

This is a standard nickel-cadmium battery.
