Skills

Sometimes, a Myrmidon may seek a deal with Hashaa in hopes of escaping death once and for all. Those she deems worthy are turned into her ultimate death knights, the Revenant. However, the deal is a lopsided one. While Hashaa does grant an escape from death to Revenants, the life they live is but a half-life. They are trapped within a state of undeath while Hashaa grows stronger from their sacrificed life energies. A Revenant does indeed gain significant power from the deal, leading many to believe that the deal was fair after all, and causing many Myrmidons to seek out the same deal. The Revenant is a creature of darkness and shadow who feeds on the living and grows stronger as they consume fresh blood.

Warriors who align themselves with shadows, nightmares, and death, Revenants have been known through the ages by many names - Werewolf, Nosferatu, and Vampire among them.

They tend to draw their power from the night and from the fear - or love - of death itself, and many of them soon come to revel in their unlife and the power it affords them in their chosen element.

Elite Attack This skill gives the character a permanent 2 point damage bonus on all non-spell attacks. 30 - -
Feeding Fangs The Revenant gains an innate Hand-to-Hand attack, Feeding Fangs. This deals 6 Piercing damage and will restore an amount of Hit Points equal to the damage dealt to the target, to a maximum of 3 Hit Points per attack. 30 1 -
Mantle of Vrykolakas A character with this skill can activate the Mantle of Vrykolakas Status Effect for 15 minutes at a cost of 1 AP and 10 MP.This status effect changes the Feeding Fangs damage type from Piercing to Arcane. Feeding Fangs 60 1 10
Soul Feeding Any time a character with this skill kills a target with Feeding Fangs, they gain 10 Magic Points. The character can go over their normal Magic Point maximum with this skill. Feeding Fangs 60 - -
Natural Predator The Revenant gains a +10% attack bonus and +1 damage bonus with Hand-to-Hand attacks. 30 - -
Shadow of the Dust Shadow of the Dust grants the character an innate and permanent Armor. It is always active, weightless, cannot decay or be destroyed, and cannot be dropped or given to another character sacrificing 10 HP. Also inflicts 'Hunted By' effect on the Revenant's killer. 30 - -
Animus of the Dust At a cost of 1 AP and 10 MP, the Revenant can call upon the essence of the hunter imbued in the dust around him providing multiple benefits for 15 minutes. Shadow of the Dust 60 1 10
Eye of Death The character becomes highly attuned to the dead. When in a location with corpses, the character is able to view who the corpse belonged to and Identify who the killer was. Shadow of the Dust 60 - -
Umbral Sword The Revenant gains an innate Sword attack, the Umbral Sword. This deals 8 Cold damage and each successful hit reduces the target's MP by 0 to 4 points, regardless of whether the target is a character or a pet. Half of the MP drained from the victim is granted to the Revenant. If the Revenant is at full MP, they gain that amount in HP instead, but cannot exceed their maximums for either quantity. Strength of Darkness The Revenant gains +2 to damage, +10% to hit, and +5% to defense during the Nighttime but -1 to damage, -5% to hit, and -10% defense during the Daytime. In addition, the character takes 2 points of unsoakable damage for every action taken while outside during daylight. See skill page for other benefits and detriments. Free - -
Blood Frenzy When activated, the character gains the Blood Frenzy Status Effect for 30 Ticks. It cannot be activated again until the duration of the effect has run its course. While Blood Frenzy is in effect the character gains a +2 damage bonus and a +5% bonus to hit. See skill page for more information. Strength of Darkness 60 1 5
Day Walker The Revenant has conquered the weaknesses that once came with the power of the night. The Revenant no longer takes damage from sunlight during the day and receives their Strength of Darkness "nighttime" bonuses at all times. Strength of Darkness 60 - -
Shadow of the Bat A character with this skill is able to activate Shadow of the Bat at a cost of 1 Action Point and 10 Magic Points. When activated, the character gains the Shadow of the Bat Status Effect for 15 Minutes. It costs an additional 3 MP for every 15 minutes beyond the first. See skill page for more information. 30 1 10
