This skill allows a Defiler to drain magical energy from an opponent and add that to their own pool of mystic power. It is a Touch Attack with a base accuracy of 70%, and is affected by dodge. If the user is in a Faction, it will always hit characters of the same Faction, and will ignore Auras and poison enchantments when draining such characters.
On a successful hit with Dark Heart, the target loses 10 Magic Points (or all their remaining Magic Points if they have less than 10) and the Defiler gains an equal amount. The Defiler can go above their normal Magic Point maximum with this skill, though they would be wise to use up this excess magic quickly.
Using this skill costs 1 Magic Point. Therefore, if the Defiler has no Magic Points they cannot use this skill.
This skill does not inflict damage, and can be used against faction-mates. Avoid using Dark Heart on a petmaster with pets. Attempting to heal a faction-mate after you have attacked them with Dark Heart may result in no experience gains, and attempting to Dark Heart someone you have healed may trip a Zerg Flag, as it is viewed as a regular attack.
This skill cannot be used against Pets.
