When a character with this skill is struck by attacks that deal Piercing or Slashing damage (even Ranged) or by attacks that utilize the Melee skill tree, they spray the attacker for (character level/3, rounded down) points of Acid damage. An attacker using Feeding Fangs or Bite to attack will take double damage.
A Wyrm Master gains this skill for free upon selecting the class.
As the Wyrm Master has caustic acid flowing through their veins and is unharmed, this skill grants immunity to Acid damage.
For greater specificity, here are all known attacks which trigger Acid Blood upon a hit:
- Mundane Bows
- Mundane Firearms
- Throwing Knife
- Swords (and all variants thereof, sabre etc)
- Innate melee weapons (weapons like the Divine Herald's Crimson Gladius, even though it deals Fire damage, because it's a sword)
- Spiked Knuckles
- Eternal Soldier set to attack with slashing or piecing using Master of Hidden Energy
- All pet attacks that deal Slashing or Piercing damage (Ghouls, Skeletons, Hellhounds, unupgraded Horrid Tentacles, and upgraded Judgemasters)
If any of the above is enchanted, they'll stop drawing Acid Blood except for the Swords and Knives.
Note: Unlike other auras, Acid Blood will not trigger if an attack misses.
